What was forecasted to be an unusually muggy and sticky Maine summer day turned out to be an overall perfect one for Ryan and Abby's wedding on North Haven Island! Departing the mainland via water taxi, the morning temperature had already started to rise, but the beauty of living on the coast prevailed. Further out on the open seas, North Haven island brought a much sought out reprieve for traveling wedding guests. One thing that Ryan and Abby were looking forward to was sharing with others the beauty of the island that they had enjoyed together for some time. It certainly did not disappoint, and it was clear that everyone had a lovely day celebrating with Ryan and Abby! I was so glad to be chosen to capture this special occasion, and I hope you enjoy reliving the day through the stories and photos that follow. Thanks for coming!

Abby had some coveted "blue box" gifts for her bridesmaids! While they were supposed to have their eyes closed, there may have been some peeking...
Abby's mom had a special gift for her as well!
After Abby was all ready to go, it was time for their first look at Nebo Lodge! What a beautiful little inn - just a short walk from the ferry terminal on North Haven. The garden patio made for a perfect backdrop!
After the first look at Nebo Lodge, it was off to her family home for some pre-ceremony pictures!
The genuineness of a wedding in Maine is when you have to check your bride for ticks after just a short walk through the grass!

Their vintage Land Cruiser was a must use for a few photos!
A little improvised sign repair pre-ceremony.
The "Frank Benson" Oceanfront Farmhouse Tennis Estate, also know as "Wooster Farm", was such a perfect spot for a wedding like this. The outdoor ceremony facing the ocean, a barn for cocktail hour, and a large lawn for the tented reception make for a great "all-in-one" sort of location!
The florals for the day by "Pretty Flowers" were absolutely gorgeous!
The flower girls were certainly the stars of the dance floor for the day. I love this shot of the little boots running around!
After dinner, we snuck out for a few minutes to capture some portraits using the gorgeous North Haven coastline!
I enjoyed spending some of the day getting to know the "Jim Ciampi Band", with whom I shared a boat ride over and back from the island with. What a talented bunch to keep the party going and get the dance floor moving! If you're looking for a band for your Maine wedding, I highly recommend checking them out!
To wrap up our part of a perfect day, it was time for the sparkler sendoff for Abby and Ryan, who then retreated with the guests back to the barn for some late night pizza!
Thank you Ryan and Abby!
