While it turned out to be a rather gray and foggy day overall, we did manage to find a little sweet spot of time without rain! I had a great time walking around with Rob and Cai for their engagement session in Owls Head last week. We enjoyed chatting about some of recent travel adventures, having both stopped in Iceland recently! Being outdoors after spending most of my winter inside? Felt amazing. Having that fresh sea air hitting your face in the spring air is one of the things I love most about living in Maine. Anyway, I look forward to capturing Rob and Cai’s wedding at the end of the wedding season at The Inn On Peaks Island. Enjoy the photos!
There was some signature coastal winds during the shoot, so I had them pretend to be blowing away. Cai was a little better at it haha!
To finish up the session, I decided to add a little creative flair and set up some lighting, as well as pulling out my Petzval lens. That’s what creates the neat swirly effect of the background! For the second shot, I underexposed the scene while filling them with some light to get that dark and dreamy look.
