I always love to end up in the Newry/Bethel area every year for a wedding. The area is beautiful and can apparently be a perfect place to find a mate as well! Paul and Cristina met while on ski patrol together at Sunday River, so it only made sense to go back and celebrate their marriage there. It was a perfect late summer Saturday with blue skies and a slight fall chill in the air. The day began on Starwood Drive where they had rented a cabin for the weekend to spend time with friends and family, and to also be the setting for their lovely outdoor ceremony. Laureh and I had a great time capturing their day and I hope you enjoy reliving the day through the photos. Thanks for coming!

For the first look, we headed over to the White Cap Quad, a place where they have spent much time! As we waited for Cristina’s arrival, Paul discussed the time had he spent there and pointed out which trails he had worked on clearing and maintaining. It was a special spot for them to take some of the photos!
After the ceremony, we headed a couple miles down the road to the covered bridge in Newry, which is a great spot for some photographs!
With some downed trees, we had to get a little adventurous to get to the river bed under the bridge for a few more shots!
The rest of the evening would be spent at the base of Sunday River at Trail’s End Restaurant & Tavern, where the reception took place. I especially loved some of the details below. That cake, as well as the table number place cards showing each of them at their respective age, instead of just plain numbers!
The speeches and toasts were great. My favorite had to be Paul’s brother Justin, who finally came clean that it was him, and not Paul, who burned down their barn when they were kids! During the after party once our coverage ended, we spent some time talking and got to hear the full story.
The ring bearer, Forest, happened to have his 1st Birthday on the same day, so they took some time out to celebrate him! Forest seemed slightly confused and overwhelmed at the attention as all the guests sang happy birthday to him. He did seem to enjoy the cupcake though!
Thank you Paul and Cristina!
