What a joy to be back at one of my favorite coastal Maine wedding venues for the first time this year! The location is gorgeous inside and out, and the staff is top notch. Sam and Julie couldn’t have had a much more perfect day on the summit either! It was sunny and cool when I arrived, with everyone relaxing and preparing for these two high school sweethearts to tie the knot! Once they were ready, Julie and Sam had their first look with some tears and beautiful reactions! I loved spending the day with these two and am excited to share what I captured. I hope you enjoy reliving their wedding day through the photos and stories ahead!

There was certainly much anticipation and nerves leading up to the first look. While cool and collected, Sam was definitely both excited and nervous as well, awaiting to see his bride before the ceremony! Their reactions were just priceless!
Not only is this photo of them one of my favorites of the day, I love the whole idea of it! Thinking of the kids that would be at the wedding, they had this little tepee set up with stuffed animals and toys to entertain the little ones. What a thoughtful idea!
That amazing sunset looking out over the ocean! What a perfect way to finish up cocktail hour and prepare for the first dance.
The entire layout of the day was very casual, which is something I always recommend! Instead of a classic sit down meal, the day/evening from cocktail hour on was light fare. This left every one to just hang out all day instead of waiting for events to happen! Starting off with finger foods, fruit, veggies, cheese, pizza… then moving later in the evening to a quesadilla bar, sushi station, prime rib, lobster “shots”, egg rolls… Oh my, so many endless goodies! Point Lookout knocked it out of the park here and had to be some of my favorite wedding food choices ever!
After their first dances, they invited everyone to the dance floor! Let me tell you, these two were ready to dance as they went off into the crowd to pull people in!
To finish the evening, we headed out for some portraits(hopefully) under the stars, and WOW! This was the first time this year that the conditions and times worked out perfectly. I was so thrilled to capture these final portraits for them!
Thank you Sam and Julie!
