My first time capturing a wedding out on the scenic shores of Peaks Island was an adventure and nothing short of AWESOME! It certainly helped to work with a couple as great as Matt and Heather. We started the day by joining the guys on the ferry that takes you from downtown Portland, ME over to Peaks Island, just a short 15 minute boat ride! Matt and Heather were married at The Inn On Peaks Island, which is conveniently located right near the Casco Bay Lines ferry terminal. My favorite part of the day was the opportunity we had to sneak out for some photos around sunset. We had THE MOST AMAZING skies to work with as you'll see below, and it was spectacular!!! We of course had to some photos of the Bride and Groom with their adorable dog Brady!!!
After toasts and dinner, we hopped on the golf cart and headed over to this classicly Maine rocky outcropping for some sunset photos. As you can see, we had some amazing skies to work with! I love this photo of Matt carrying Heather on the rocks. Sometimes it's the ones you don't set up that turn out be the favorites!
With the formal events complete, it was time to unleash on the dance floor!
