This love story is one that you don’t come across every day. Daren and Emily have known each other since they were only 3 years old! While Daren may have been sure of their marriage at a very young age, it may have taken Emily a few more years haha. As the adolescent years progressed, they may not have been as close, but connected again later in life and the rest is history! I’ve been looking forward to capturing these two again and in this beautiful local spot! The East Wind Inn is the perfect place for a wedding. Located in the quaint coastal village Tenant’s Harbor, this inn overlooks the beautiful Maine coastline. This day certainly didn’t disappoint, and they couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather! Glad to finally share these photos, and I hope you love reliving the day through my lens.

The ladies had the perfect spot for getting ready, though it may have taken me a couple tries to figure out how to find my way up there haha. Overlooking the ceremony site and the harbor, you certainly can’t beat that ocean breeze!
With everyone ready to go, it was time for Daren to come up to the suite and see his bride for the first time. Daren turned around and instantly was trying to hold in the tears. Always one of the best things to see! He wasn’t the only one either.
After the first look, we went down to the lawn for some of the wedding party photos. Of course we started of by capturing these shots with their pup, Remy! Remy has no problem being in front of the camera as I had learned previously at their engagement session.
Ceremony
With the guests arriving and seated, it was time for the ceremony, which was held right on the waterfront. Daren may have started tearing up as Emily walked down the aisle, but this time he disguised himself with sunglasses…. Bad Daren! :P
Reception
Cocktails were served on the Inn’s porch before it was time for introductions in the tent. Definitely some great entrances followed by their first dance!
Along with the normal speeches, Daren and Emily also took some time to remember their friend who was a close part of their childhood, and one of the reasons they met.
Dinner was delicious(way to go East Wind!), but as everyone was eating, it was obvious this was the perfect time to sneak out as the sun lit up the harbor before disappearing behind the trees! I do love living here on the coast…
After dinner, it was time for some games, parent dances, and cake cutting. With those completed, it was time to party!
Emily triple fisting it hahaha!
I’ve been waiting all year for an opportunity like this… So far this wedding season, the stars have not aligned for a spectacular display on wedding nights. We were super happy to see them out that night, as incorporating astrophotography into wedding shots is one of the things I’m known for! I was so excited that we were able to pull off an epic shot like this together - what a perfect way to end the evening :)
Thank you Daren and Emily!
