Early January is not usually considered the warmest time of year to have a wedding in Maine, but that didn't stop Nathan and Shianne! The day was certainly a bit chilly, with a high of around 10 degrees in Brooks, which is where this lovely couple would say their vows. The scene inside the church was full of warmth and excitement though, with everyone working hard to take care of the finishing touches for the day! Once everyone was ready, it was time for Shianne to walk down the aisle and join her groom for the ceremony. She was preceded by an adorable group of "future brides" and their sign-bearing escort. Children were certainly in abundance, and they always add a fun extra touch to any wedding day events. One of my favorite moments was when one of these future brides(as seen below) decided to get up and begin gathering the flower petals in the middle of the ceremony. She was quite upset when she was cut short haha! After a ceremony full of prayer, commitment, music, and passages, it was time to brave the cold as quick as possible for some portraits! We snapped a few quick ones outside the church with the bridal party and then drove down the road for a change of scenery with just the newlyweds. The temperature change coming back in was a bit extreme and I had to wait for my gear to un-fog before I could use it inside! The rest of the evening was spent with friends and family celebrating inside the beautifully decorated hall. It was a pleasure to spend the day with Nathan and Shianne and I wish them many blessings in their new life together! Thanks for coming, and I hope enjoy the memories captured here!

I had the pleasure of meeting Garrett and Rosalie during their engagement session last January and ever since have been looking forward to finishing up my 2016 wedding season with this awesome couple. The weekend certainly did not disappoint at all, it was a blast! I arrived with my wife the day before and we did a little scouting to plan around the forecasted rain. Fortunately, there was an awesome covered bridge at Sunday River in Newry, which ended up being the spot to hit up and get out of the rain! Backing it up a bit though, the day began at the townhouses right at the Bethel Inn Resort where everyone was getting ready. It's always fun to watch the exchange of gifts, both between the Bride/Groom and their bridal party and the gifts they give each other. This was no exception, with a mixture of both laughter and tears. Once the couple was dressed and ready, we set up a first look under the gazebo at the inn. After a few private portraits together, the bridal party joined in and we all headed over to the bridge to squeeze in some quick photos before the ceremony(timing was tight). As we arrived, ANOTHER BRIDAL PARTY was just going onto the bridge to use it for photos. This basically sent me into freak-out panic mode as we had no backup plan or time to go elsewhere. Thankfully the rain had briefly subsided, so we took some photos on the main road until the other wedding party was done, then finished up our time on the bridge(crisis averted)! Next it was was off to the church for their vows, followed by our final destination at Bethel Inn for the reception. It was time for dinner, speeches, and dancing to finish off the night! Being the last wedding of season, I was glad to pack up my gear and join in with the celebration, partying it up for a bit on the dance floor and then hanging out at the after party downstairs. Garrett and Rosalie make an awesome couple and I am grateful they chose me to capture their special day. I hope you enjoy the memories captured!
