Ben + Hilary's Wedding | South Twin Lake | Millinocket, Maine Wedding Photographer

UPDATE 4/4/20: Detective Ben Campbell lost his life yesterday while serving us all and helping out a motorist in need. Our hearts go out to Hilary, their 6 month old son Everett, and their family in this devastating time. We are heartbroken for them, and if anything is posted about how we can help support them, we will be sure to share it. Thank you for your service Ben, and all our love and sympathy as we grieve with your family.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking for Ben and Hilary's wedding day! Wispy clouds, beautiful weather, a sandy beach, Mt Katahdin, and the Millinocket lakes were all amazing components for an ideal day as a photographer. The lakes have been a large part of Hilary's life and the perfect place for their big day. Hadley, the adorable flower girl, wandered around the property and fed the ducks as Hilary was finishing up her hair and makeup. After preparations were complete, we took some of my favorite bridal portraits of the year.  The woods were serene and dock surrounded by sparkling water... what a lovely location! Next it was off to the ceremony site, where everyone was bustling around putting together the final details while Ben was getting himself ready. After some shots of Fireball with the boys, it was time to take some quick portraits with his groomsmen and the ring bearer Nathan.  The ceremony was short and sweet, taking place on the beach surrounded by friends and family.  Once they were married, it was time to jump on the pontoon boat and head out to Hillary's family island for a few more bridal party portraits! It was the PERFECT spot as the sun was setting. Their dog was on the island - excitedly awaiting their arrival - and joined in for a few portraits. Once we were finished, it was back off to the reception where the guests eagerly awaited and greeted them with a long human archway for them to run through. The rest of the night was full of dancing, fun, hilarious toasts(talking to you Dayna), and yummy food! I was so happy that Ben and Hilary chose me to capture their special day. I love how the photos came out and I hope you enjoy them as well. Thanks so much for coming!

Sam + Emi's Wedding | Alamoosook Lakeside Inn | Orland, Maine Wedding Photographer

Sam and Emi got married at The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn located in Orland, ME. Set right on the lake, it's a very scenic wedding location! This was one of those weddings that just leaves you smiling. As I was going through the photos for this blog post, it was nearly impossible to find anything besides shots of Sam and Emi just beaming with excitement throughout the whole day! It was a laid back and fun day shared with their closest friends and family. One particular detail about the wedding that I thought was really cool was how Emi had the bouquets designed to include flowers from each of her married bridesmaids' weddings! Probably among the most thoughtful of ideas I had seen - so sweet! The entire day was filled with laughter and emotion, from the ceremony through the reception. One of the more amusing moments was when the groomsmen starting pulling "pocket dogs" out of their pockets. I still can't fathom the fact that they were actually carrying around hot dogs, buns, and ketchup in their pockets to randomly eat throughout the night, haha. I hope you enjoy the photos, and thanks for looking!
