Rhett + Ashley | Marshall Point Lighthouse | Rockland & Port Clyde Wedding and Elopement Photography

Rhett and Ashley traveled all the way from Oklahoma to have a small wedding with their family here in Maine!  They spent the week here, staying right in downtown Rockland at the Trade Winds Inn and Rockland Harbor Hotel. We had the chance to sit down and get to know each other more over coffee the day before at Rock City Cafe, which was great! I learned that Rhett and Ashley have been together since they were 14!!! How awesome is that? Also, about time they got married, right? haha. They left their 90 degree weather in OK to be welcomed by our rather unusual "spring" with some temps barely peaking over 50 degrees at times. The cold and windy Maine day didn't dampen their spirits at all though!  I hope you enjoy seeing the story of their wedding day!

Before heading to Marshall Point Lighthouse for the ceremony, Rhett and Ashley did a first look right off Main Street. It's not very common to find a bride jaywalking on a Tuesday in Rockland haha! It was a colorful reunion they shared at one of downtown's popular photo spots. After a few quick pictures, it was off the lighthouse in a limo they were suprised with by family!

They had a wonderful ceremony with their parents, siblings, and grandparent as attendants/bridal party. Thankfully the rain held off, but BRRRRRR, I was even a bit cold and I live here! I believe this was the first time I ever wore a coat for an outdoor ceremony. Needless to say, the family portraits were done as quickly as possible, with Rhett and Ashley sticking it out a bit before jumping in the warmed limo! I highly recommend Peter at Limo Services In Maine. I've never seen such an attentive chauffeur as him before!

We finished up the afternoon with something a little different by doing some moody portraits at The Know Museum(aka Montpelier). I had so much fun meeting these two and their family, and I hope you've enjoyed reliving the wedding day!
